orgSectorSet option

Hello,

I noticed the list of the set is not complete in the dictionary compared to the documentation. Besides I think some options should be added for wastewater treatment agency, wastewater treatment plant operator, public authority, administration.

Thank you.

Hello - thank you for raising this issue!

Could you point me to where in the documentation you see the list for this set? I’m looking in the dictionary and it seems to be complete from what I’m seeing. The enumeration for the “Health administration or planning agency” and “First Nation” values was mistakenly labelled as 3 and 4, respectively, rather than 1 and 2. Is this what you’re referring to?

As for adding those additional values to the orgSectorSet that’s no problem. We left things pretty intentionally vague for this one, so happy to add in a little more precision where users need it. These will be included in the upcoming release in mid-August (tentative).

Here is a draft of how the new entries will appear in the parts list:

partID partLabel partDesc partInstr
wta Wastewater Treatment Agency An organization type that includes those organizations who manage wastewater treatment programs. NA
wtpo Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator An organization type that includes those organizations who run and operate wastewater treatment facilities. NA
pubAuth Public Authority An organization type describing a public agency with authority over a given domain. NA
pubAdm Public Administration An organisation type that describes governmental organizations that manage or administer programs. NA

Please let me know if you have any notes or comments.

Actually I was referring to the description of the set here: Public Health Environmental Surveillance Open Data Model (PHES-ODM) Documentation - Sets where there are more options than in the dictionary

Thank you for the list. It seems ok to me.
I think it would be very useful to have a list of change somewhere between versions of the ODM so the db can be easily updated.
A sql code to update the db to the next version would also be super handy for the database administration.

Ahhh - thanks for this. It looks like there may be an issue in the code used to build the documentation website because some of the categories are that are included here are included erroneously. I’ll take this back to our team.

And definitely, including a change log is best practice and we haven’t done well with keeping one. I’ll add it to our list for further considerations!

Thank you again!
